Frequently Asked Questions
When are you open? Our regular hours are 12-6 Wed-Fri and 10-3 Saturday. We're a small (very small!) business and sometimes we have to be flexible. Hours are posted each week on social media whether we're open regular hours or have to alter them. We also do local, and not-so-local markets! Anytime we are vending at an event, that info will also be posted on social media with our weekly hours.
Where are you located? Our address is 7730 W National Ave. in historic West Allis, WI. We're just blocks from local attractions like the Farmer's Market, the library, and the Wisconsin State Fair, and just 5 miles from downtown Milwaukee!
What kind of clothes do you sell? Ultratwist Vintage stocks true vintage clothing, new retro style clothing, and modern resale clothing with a vintage vibe. Whether true vintage or a modern take on vintage style, we focus on bright colors, bold prints, and classic silhouettes - most with a 50s, 60s, and 70s style. That said, we also have 80s, 90s, and Y2K and new stock is added every single day!
Do you have my size? Probably! We take pride in seeking out size and gender-inclusive clothing in XS through 5X for all humans! We've also got a little rack of the cutest baby & kiddo vintage so you can start 'em young!
Do you just have clothes? This is a clothing boutique so we do mostly sell clothes. However, we also stock fun socks & tights, handbags, costume jewelry, scarves, and other accessories as well as locally made soaps and candles. Sometimes we bring in random cool stuff just because it's cool. There's always treasure to be found in here!
Do you do consignment? NOPE. But there are several shops and organizations that offer consignment locally such as Divine Consign, Clothes Mentor, Spruced 57, and Plato's Closet to name just a few. (I have no personal affiliation with any of these, please do your own due diligence.)
Do you buy vintage clothing? Also NOPE! We don't buy from the general public, and we're inundated with this question every day. If you contact us asking this question there's a good chance you won't get a response, even if you think the piece(s) in question are really great. Sorry, that's just the way it is!

Ultratwist Vintage began in 2014 after I had been slingin' vintage as a hobby since the 90s. I have a penchant for classic silhouettes in bold prints and bright colours - style with a twist you might say - and here you'll find true vintage and vintage-inspired clothing that allows you to literally wear your personality. We proudly stock sizes XS to 5X, at a range of price points, because everyone deserves to look and feel fabulous!I have supplied vintage clothing for film, photo, and fashion industries, including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, an Alan Shepard biopic, indie horror movies, countless pinup photo shoots, and many more!
Fitting Guide
The measurements included on listings are the actual measurements of the garment. You'll want to move and breathe while wearing them, so give yourself an extra inch or two for that. Meaning if your body measurements are say a 38" bust and 30" waist, you'll probably want to go for garments with a measurement of 39-40" bust and 31-32" waist, or thereabout. I also include a "fits like" size, which categorizes the garment in a Small, Medium, Large, etc. format based on the measurements of the garment and if it's meant to be worn loose or fitted.
